The DRILL Startup Accelerator Program is part of a series of learning engagements by Innovate Gambia and its partners. The program is named after the late Dr. Ibrahim Lowe with the full name of DR. Ibrahim Lowe Learning series. The DRILL Startup Accelerator will focus on practical skills that entrepreneurs, startups and small business owners can put into action in their company right away.
This 2-week summer camp program will be filled with role play, workshops and inspirational sessions. The program will incorporate reading books as a group, watch video content, and hear from subject matter experts that have built successful businesses.
In Week 1, students will learn everything they need to know about starting a company, the founder’s role, building a team, understand money matters, how to structure a company, and many other essential topics on entrepreneurship.
In Week 2, students will be divided into groups to prepare for competition. Each group will developa business idea, createa plan, and pitch their ideas in a competition within the class.
